The grapes were cold soaked for a week, followed by wild yeast fermentation and a 9-month maturation period in French oak barriques. This exquisite Grenache is an aromatic wine showing a deep purple red hue. Blissful floral aromas and briary red fruit characters flow off the nose, while the palate is filled with vibrant cherries accompanied by sandy mineral tannins and a zingy acidity reflective of the vineyard site. Lighter cuisine like veal and fish, as well as Mediterranean dishes pair well with this Grenache varietal.
A delicious medium-to-full-bodied Grenache wine that is young and tactile. Offering flavours of ripe raspberries, concentrated cherries, red currants, spice, meat and cloves all combined with chewy tannins. Sourced from the 5 star biodynamic Yangarra winery in the McLaren Vale, producers of excellent Grenache and southern Rhone varietal wines.
